‘Sueño Americano’ is a short book (in A5) which explores personal stories and the greater political and historical implications of the Latin American migrant trail in Mexico to the US.

More specifically, the book examines migration which utilises Mexico's extensive and dangerous freight train network, referred to simply as ‘La Bestia’ (The Beast), where up to 20,000 migrants are kidnapped each year, traversing some of the most violent regions in the world.

Sueño Americano, meaning American Dream, infers the Latin American migrant will to live through the migration from Mexico to the US with the risk of death, injury, rape and kidnapping.

This book explores their personal stories and the greater political and historical implications of the migrant trail along with short film and illustrations revealing the field of migration.
